DLR attended EUSAR 2026 and presented the SOPHOS project through a poster highlighting its key results. The project demonstrates a powerful and efficient on-board processing solution for future SAR missions, combining advanced computing, data compression, and high-capacity storage. By validating the complete system at TRL6, SOPHOS proves that faster, low-latency data processing in orbit can significantly reduce downlink requirements and enable more autonomous satellite operations.
